The Australian Gangurrus are the senior 3x3 representative programs with men and women’s teams. The Gangurrus compete in the FIBA 3x3, Commonwealth & Olympic Games tournament cycles. 

The Gangurrus 3x3 Men made their major tournament debut at the World Cup in 2019.

Notable past players for the Gangurrus men include Greg Hire, Mitch McCarron, Todd Blanchfield Tim Coenraad & Davo Hickey. 

THE NAME: The Gangurrus name is inspired by the traditional Guugu Yimithirr word for the eastern grey kangaroo. The Gangurrus team title was adopted ahead of the Commonwealth Games in 2022.
