Biography

Alison’s experience spans government, private and not-for-profit sectors in sport, cyber security, veteran community support and defence industry with a focus on strategy, governance and high performance.

Alison Creagh is President of Paralympics Australia, a Vice President on the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organising Committee and a Director-at-Large on the Oceania Paralympic Committee. She is also a Non-Executive Director on the boards of Rowing Australia and GME. Alison is a Trustee for the Commando Welfare Trust and President of the Certa Cito Foundation and is a member of The Hospital Research Foundation Group’s Technology and Cyber Committee. Alison has worked with para athletes as an accredited national and international para-rowing classifier for Rowing Australia and World Rowing. She has supported High Performance programs through the Australian Army, Paralympics Australia, Rowing Australia and Rowing ACT.

She retired from the Australian Regular Army as a Brigadier in March 2015 after a 30-year career and continues to serve part-time in the Army Reserve.

She holds a Master of Management Studies, Master of Defence Studies and a Graduate Diploma Strategic Studies.

Alison enjoys following Basketball and Wheelchair Basketball and is a strong supporter of the Gliders and the Rollers.

Alison was appointed to Basketball Australia’s High Performance Committee in April 2025.
