Lauren Nicholson has established herself as one of the premier guards in Australian women’s basketball.
Like many Australians, she attended college at Saint Mary’s and dominated the program between 2012 and 2016.
A prolific scorer, and two-time Robyn Maher Defensive Player of the Year, Nicholson has won championships with both the Sydney Flames and Townsville Fire.
She has represented the Opals, and won bronze, in three FIBA Asia Cup campaigns and was part of the Australian team which qualified for the Tokyo Olympics.
Following the 2023-24 WNBL season, Nicholson headed to Spain where she suited up for Spar Girona alongside Opals team mate Marianna Tolo.
