

Biography
Born in South Sudan, Thon Maker and his family migrated to Western Australia when he was five years old.
As a teenager he made the move to the US where he attended high school and blossomed as a basketball prospect. In 2015, he participated in the Nike Hoop Summit alongside fellow Aussie Ben Simmons.
Maker was selected by Milwaukee with pick 10 in the 2016 NBA draft and played 263 games for the Bucks, Detroit Pistons and Cleveland Cavaliers until 2021.
He has a wealth of professional experience playing in Israel and most recently China and Kuwait.
Maker top scored with 14 points for Australia as it edged out Lebanon, 75-73, to win a gold medal at the 2022 FIBA Asia Cup.

Maker’s first cousin Aliir Aliir plays AFL for Port Adelaide and was named in the 2021 All-Australian team.
