GROUP STAGE: A statement start
Australia opened its campaign in dominant fashion, defeating Argentina 100-46. Jaylen Brown was electric from the outset, scoring 34 points at an extraordinary 77.8% clip from the field, while adding 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Tom O'Neill-Thorne was equally efficient, finishing with 20 points on 10-of-11 shooting and dishing out a game-high 8 assists, as Australia's balanced attack saw 12 different players find the scoresheet.
The Rollers backed that up with a 90-67 win over Türkiye, again led by Brown's 27 points, while veteran Tristan Knowles chimed in with 21 points on the back of 4-of-6 shooting from three-point range. Australia shot an impressive 38.9% from beyond the arc as a team in that contest.
Group play was capped off with a hard-fought 77-59 win over Great Britain, a game that showcased the Rollers' depth beyond their two headline performers. O'Neill-Thorne exploded for a game-high 25 points on 5-of-12 shooting from three, adding 10 assists, while Brown contributed 24 points and 11 rebounds. The win completed a 3-0 group stage, with Australia outscoring opponents by a combined 65 points across the three games.
QUARTER-FINALS: Statement victories continue
Drawn against Brazil in the first knockout round, Australia was never troubled, cruising to a 69-44 win. Brown continued his prolific tournament with 20 points and a team-high 13 rebounds, while O'Neill-Thorne added 18 points. Bill Latham also chipped in 12 points as six different Rollers found the scoreboard in a comprehensive team performance.
The Quarter Final against Spain presented Australia's toughest challenge to that point, and revenge for a loss at the 2024 Paralympic Games. The Rollers found themselves in a genuine contest, ultimately prevailing 70-66.
Brown was simply sensational, producing one of the standout individual performances of the tournament with 41 points on 19-of-36 shooting, including 65.4% from two-point range, to go with 10 rebounds. O'Neill-Thorne again filled the stat sheet with 10 points and a game-high 11 assists, while the composure shown down the stretch proved the difference against a Spanish side that shot 100% from the free-throw line but couldn't match Australia's overall efficiency.
SEMI-FINAL: Surviving overtime against Germany
The Semi-Final against Germany was the tightest test of the tournament, with the sides locked together throughout before Australia escaped with an 84-83 overtime win to book their place in the Gold Medal game.
Brown was again the standout, delivering a monster 37-point, 9-rebound, 8-assist performance, while O'Neill-Thorne added 19 points and a game-high 9 assists. Latham's 16 points on 7-of-12 shooting rounded out a trio of double-figure scorers for Australia, who needed every one of those contributions to hold off a Germany side led by Aliaksandr Halouski's 26 points and Thomas Böhme's 20.

Across six games, Jaylen Brown has been at the heart of the Rollers' unbeaten run, averaging just under 30 points per game and proving to be one of the most dominant offensive forces at the tournament. Tom O'Neill-Thorne has been the perfect complement, consistently delivering both scoring and elite playmaking, while veteran Tristan Knowles has provided experienced scoring punch off the bench and Bill Latham has been a model of efficiency, shooting above 45% from the field in every outing.

Six wins from six have set up a shot at history, with the Rollers now just one win away from their third IWBF World Championship title, following previous triumphs in 2010 and 2014.
