Ezi Magbegor injured her right knee during the Opals Qualifying Final against Italy.
Magbegor went to the ground following a contested drive in the first quarter. She was helped off the court by the Opals medical team and didn’t return.
Scans have confirmed a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) which will require surgery and a period of rehabilitation.
The Australian Opals will wrap their arms around Ezi and we have no doubt in her character and resilience as she enters a period of recovery.
