Boomers juggernaut keeps rolling with clinical victory over Jordan

Freshly minted Perth Wildcat Anthony Dell'Orso top scores as the Boomers roll Jordan 126 - 93

The Australian Boomers juggernaut keeps rolling on the way to FIBA World Cup qualification with a comprehensive 126 – 93 victory over Jordan at Mall of Asia Arena.

Anthony Dell’Orso made his debut two nights ago – tonight he led the scoring, dropping 19 points (7 / 12) in a display that will encourage the Perth Wildcats faithful.

The spread of contributors was real – with five players hitting double figures.

Angus Glover scored 16 points and continues to be a pillar of this Boomers qualification run. A similar level of strength was delivered by Josh Bannan, with the JackJumpers big scoring 15 points, five rebounds.

Elijah Pepper cooled off from his international career best of 32 against Syria, but played his role for 14.

It was great to see United guard Tom Wilson back on the deck after a jersey number issue kept him on the sideline for Syria. Wilson recorded 13 points, five assists in his return.

The Boomers sit two points ahead of New Zealand atop the Group E standings with two windows left to play.

Australia will likely get a shot at clinching their spot in Qatar in the next window which will be hosted in November.
