The Ford Dealer Network and Basketball Australia are proud to recognise and celebrate sportsmanship, leadership and players of character both on and off the court throughout the 2026 Foot Locker Under-18 and National Junior Wheelchair Championships.
Across the week in Moreton Bay, the Ford Dealer Network acknowledged athletes and team staff who embody the values of Australian basketball through five award categories: Built Tough, Building Together, Community, Beyond the Court and All-Rounder.
The Built Tough Award recognised athletes whose performance and behaviour reflected resilience, grit and relentless commitment.
The 2026 recipients were Jazzy Gordon (NSW Country) in the women’s division, Nicolas Salumu (Northern Territory) in the men’s division and Harrison Leather (Queensland) in the National Junior Wheelchair Championships.
The Building Together Award recognised those who consistently put their team first, helping move others forward and showing up when their teammates needed them most.
This year’s recipients were Mya Moke (Queensland), Samson Nathan (NSW Country) and Maddie Kelton (Queensland).
The Community Award celebrated individuals who put the basketball community first through sportsmanship, inclusivity, generosity and being a role model for the future of the game.
The award went to Matilda Liebregts (WA Country), Chandler Siegle (Victoria Metro) and Harriet Caldwell (Victoria).
The Beyond the Court Award recognised team managers who went above and beyond to support their teams throughout the championships.
Recipients were April Croft (ACT Team Manager), Brooke Norgrove (Queensland South Team Manager) and Sarah Vinci (Assistant Coach).
The All-Rounder Award celebrated those who made a positive contribution both on and off the court, while helping shape strong team culture through leadership, versatility and spirit.
This year’s recipients were John Aryang (WA Metro), Tiedore Puoch (Victoria Metro) and Ethan Hallak (NSW).
Above all, the Ford Dealer Network and Basketball Australia believe the game is about more than performance on the court. These awards recognise the people who lead by example, contribute positively to their teams and communities, and represent the values of Australian basketball.
All award recipients received a medal along with an Australian basketball prize pack featuring a backpack, towel and cap.
Basketball Australia thanks the Ford Dealer Network for its continued support of the Foot Locker Under-18 and National Junior Wheelchair Championships.
