The CoE women have ascended to the NBL1 East grand final following a 63 - 74 victory over the Norths Bears in the preliminary final. Now just one win away from claiming the NBL1 East championship, the CoE will face their toughest challenge yet against the top of the table Manly Warringah Sea Eagles. The Sea Eagles defeated the CoE in both of their meetings throughout the regular season with a 15-point win in round one, followed by a four-point win in round 15.

Despite a troubled record against the Sea Eagles, the CoE are poised for Saturday’s ultimate decider having rapidly turned their momentum around. The CoE have claimed three consecutive victories in the finals on their march toward glory, including a 30-point win over the Canberra Nationals (74 - 44), a two-point win over the Albury-Wodonga Bandits (73 - 75) and most recently an 11-point win over the Norths Bears (63 - 74).

In the preliminary final the CoE had four players in double digits to upset the Norths Bears. Zara Russell led scoring, adding 18 points, six rebounds and three assists. Sitaya Fagan stuffed the stat sheet with an all-round display featuring 16 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks. Isabel Smith also chimed in with 16 points, six rebounds and three assists. Queenslander Olivia Olechnowicz was also important, providing 10 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals.
