Australia’s Pearls and Boomerangs have made a strong impression at the 2025 Virtus Games in Kazakhstan, with all four teams — Green and Gold from both programs — dominating the pool phase across three days of competition.
In the women’s competition, Pearls Green went undefeated with victories over Japan (18–15), Poland (19–2), Spain (21–2), France (16–3), and Pearls Gold (12–4). Pearls Gold also impressed, defeating Poland (16–2), France (11–2), and Spain (14–3), with their only losses coming against Japan (7–11) and Pearls Green.
Pearls Green will face France, while Pearls Gold are set to take on Japan in a bid for a place in the final.
On the men’s side, the Boomerangs delivered a dominant pool stage. Boomerangs Green recorded wins over Israel (22–2), Japan (12–6), Poland (21–7), Italy (21–3), Portugal Black (22–3), Kazakhstan (21–4), and Boomerangs Gold (12–4). Boomerangs Gold were equally strong, defeating Spain (21–11), USA (21–2), Venezuela (21–17), Portugal Red (14–8), and France (17–12).
Both men's teams are through to the semi-finals, with Boomerangs Green locked in to take on Portugal Red and Boomerangs Gold taking on France.
