Basketball Australia is announcing the selected officials for the Trans-Tasman Throwdown taking place from 7–11 May.
As the inaugural and revived rivalry series between Australia and New Zealand tips off, a talented group of score table officials have been appointed to support the competition, which will be held across Adelaide, the Sunshine Coast, and Hamilton.
All selected score table officials hail from across Australia and are currently active officials of either the NBL or WNBL roster. While not all hold FIBA licences, the group represents a strong mix of seasoned veterans and emerging talent, with several officials set to gain valuable experience in a high-level competition environment for the first time.
The selections reflect the dedication of these individuals throughout the basketball season. Each official has participated in targeted training programs and received regular feedback from league-appointed mentors, ensuring their readiness for the demands of a high-level competition.
The Trans-Tasman Throwdown is a unique opportunity for these officials to represent their country in a high-pressure setting, furthering their development and contributing to the success of this prestigious series.
