Basketball Australia is delighted to announce Hoop City as a High Performance Training Facility for Australia’s 3X3 national team program. The original Hoop City in Cheltenham, Melbourne (VIC) is highly regarded among our national basketball teams, with its purpose-built set-up offering basketballers of all abilities the opportunity to gain access to state-of-the-art facilities. Melbourne-based squad members of Australian national teams have already been using Hoop City, including the Australian women’s 3X3 team who recently held an intense 3-day camp at the facility. Basketball Australia General Manager Game Development & Wheelchair Programs, Leigh Gooding said: “The team at Hoop City have been super supportive of Basketball Australia’s 3X3 women’s program, providing coaching staff and squad members with access to elite training facilities which include a world class 3X3 half-court, shooting machines and an impressive weight room. “With many of our athletes and coaching staff based in Melbourne, having access to this leading indoor basketball facility will enhance our 3X3 high performance program and we are delighted to be partnering with Hoop City.” After opening its doors in March this year, Hoop City has already established itself as an advanced indoor basketball facility, providing an elite training environment and programs that are delivered by expert coaches.
