Gangurrus Women Advance in 3x3 World Cup

The Gangurrus women’s team has advanced to the quarterfinals of the FIBA 3x3 World Cup after finishing atop of Pool B.

The Aussie women defeated Egypt 22-11 to secure their third win in a row for the tournament and lock in their finals spot.

Marena Whittle balled out with 14 points and five rebounds, and now leads the competition for points with 43.

The women just fell short to Germany in their next game 21-19.  

Meanwhile the men’s team delivered a crucial win over Slovenia 22-10 for their first dub of the tournament.

Daniel Johnson top-scored for the Aussies with nine points and 11 rebounds for the match. 

The Aussies unfortunately went down to Latvia 22-9 to end their 3x3 World Cup battle.
